Jai Mata Di, Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife (1st October 2017)

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

After a steady day around the pool the boys headed off to the Bee Hive again for a few drinks whilst watching the Grand Prix and football and playing pool - enjoying many drinks and inclusive shots.

Popodoms started proceedings again with a flavoursome chutney combination of sweet tamarind, medium coriander & mint and a very fiery chilli!

Starters included spinach pakora (TC commented that he doesn’t eat spinach however the spinach pakora was lovely) and a spicy chilli paneer. The boys scored starters an impressive and top marks 10/10.

Mains included chicken tikka masala, veg soya jalfrezi, chicken saag chilli chicken and malai kofta. The mains were served with substantial amount of rice and, for a change, buttered chapatis. The main were very well received and definitely the best curry whilst on the island! As for scores for mains, topped out at 9!

Overall a tremendous curry with Simon saying “it was fantastic” and Ian added a comment “cracking” - highly recommended if in Puerto de la Cruz!
